Dentures Replace Missing Teeth to Restore Your Smile

At Valley Hills Dentistry, we can provide complete or partial dentures to restore the natural look and shape of your smile, improve your appearance, and eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

What Do Dentures Do?

Dentures are removable dental devices that replace teeth lost due to various reasons, including:

  • Gum disease
  • Tooth decay
  • Injury
  • Infections

Please keep in mind: while dentures help replace missing teeth, they will never be as good as your natural teeth.

Complete Dentures

Complete dentures are designed to replace all your natural teeth when missing. They can be taken out of your mouth at night and easily cleaned. However, they may reduce your ability to chew food effectively. At Valley Hills Dentistry, we provide two types of complete dentures:

Immediate Dentures

  • These are made when your natural teeth are being removed, and the new dentures are delivered on the same day.
  • While they’re quicker to make, they may not fit as well as conventional dentures.

Conventional Dentures

  • These are made when all your natural teeth are missing or when your existing dentures need replacement.
  • They tend to fit better than immediate dentures.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are removable devices that replace multiple missing teeth, but you still have some natural teeth. At Valley Hills Dentistry, we offer three main types of partial dentures:

  • Cast metal
  • Acrylic resin
  • DuraFlex, a flexible, durable synthetic material

Additional Options

Dental Implants

Implants are the closest alternative to replace your natural teeth.

  • Dental implants are a great choice when there's enough bone in your jaw to support them.
  • If not, we can consider adding bone to your jaw through a bone graft, a procedure using your own bone or synthetic materials.

Overdentures

If you’ve been missing teeth or wearing dentures for a long time. your dentures may slip out of place due to changes in the bone and tissues of your jaw. If so, we may recommend overdentures, which are secured in place by dental implants and securely snap in and out of place for a more stable fit.
